Today I did a little shopping...I know some of you think that is all I do but really I am just very efficient when I go. I walk into the store and immediately scan the clearance racks. I am not talking about the 25 or 50% off. They must be at least 75% off to peak my interest. So, I have been keeping my eyes out for a leather "cigar" chair for Brian's office for a while now. They range in price from $500 - $1000 generally. I did see a pair of chairs at Costco for $700 but I really only wanted one. Well, today I hit the jackpot! I walked into Shopko and found a faux leather chair and ottoman set similar to the one in this picture that was originally $280.00 on sale for...$59.98. That is 79% off! I bought the last chair but they have more ottamans for $19.99. They are so cute and the open up for storage. They have some other really nice furniture at great clearance prices. I really tried to find a reason to by a cute coffee table with wicker baskets underneath but we just don't need a coffee table right now. So if your in the market head over to Shopko! I also found some great deals at Eddie Bauer...lots of 70% off right now!

I TOTALLY AGREE - it's 75% off or I don't even LOOK. ;-)
Hey, do you have a Penney's in Lewiston? I went BACK on Monday night and the had TONS of tops for women for $1.97, and formal dresses for $4.97. I had a coupon for $10 of $50 purchase, so I got another 20% off! Even at that price, I'm not keeping them all. They have to fit well and be something I really like, or it's not worth it to me.
Re: your shoe post. You have a family of 6 and I think 6 pairs of shoes is very reasonable! Last fall I bought 8 pairs of my shoes for MYSELF. You know, $4.97 plus 20% off, and so the story goes... I have some great summer sandals just waiting for warmer weather!
More power to ya!

Yes we do have a JCPenney's and I made a stop there this evening. I had a return and they would only give me merchandise credit so I looked around. I found soooooo many good deals! This is what I ended up with:
2 winter jackets for Riley and Jordan (for next year), a leather jacket and a corduroy jacket for Brian, a lighter weight jacket for Riley, 5 hoodies (a little excessive, I know) and a pair of velour lounge pants for myself , a dressier shirt, a purse, socks, jeans for Abby, and a really cute "My first piggy bank" for a baby gift. The grand total for 16 items $70 - $40 gift card = $30 spent. My receipt shows I saved over $650! So thanks for the tip!!
Good find. I am sure Brian is thinking,"Thanks Andrea for buying more crap that I have to move in a few months!"
You are going to have to have a yard sale before you move, or the U-HAUL will be dragging out of the driveway with a sign that reads "This U-HAUL stops at every sale!" LOL!!
He was actually pretty excited about my chair find! I love the sign idea for the u-haul! We must leave a little room in the back so we can bargain shop the whole way over!!!! I am sure Brian will appreciate that!
